Delta Dynamites

Delta Dynamites Win the Sonoma County Classic (Sep 5-6) 1st place
The Delta Dynamite U11 girls coached by Tim McCarthy and Nick Howliston, won the Sonoma County Classic championship in dominating style. With a balanced attack of passing and scoring, the girls won all four of their games by scoring a total of 25 goals from seven different players. The Dynamite defense and goal keeping was even more dominant as they only gave up two goals all weekend and none in the semi-final or final games on Sunday to rout Livermore and Sonoma County 5-0 and 6-0 respectively.  Congratulations team Dynamite!


Delta Dynamites placed 2nd in the 2009 Diablo FC Summer Challenge (Sep 15-16)
The Delta Dynamite U11 girls coached by Tim McCarthy and Nick Howliston, placed 2nd in the Diablo FC Summer Challenge.  Despite 90+ degree temperatures, the girls battled hard beating Diablo FC 3-2, Castro Valley 5-0 and drawing 2-2 with Mill Valley. The Dynamite girls played exceptionally well given that this was their first tournament, eventually falling 1-2 to the West Valley Surefire in a hard battled final game. Way to go Dynamite!

2009 NorCal Spring League U10 Girls Bronze Champions 1st Place
The Dynamites finish the spring league season with a great win over the only team they lost to by winning 5 - 1 in Palo Alto. The defense was strong and the offense was unstoppable. The Dynamites finished the season 8 - 1 - 1.

Petaluma United Kickin Chickin (August 8-9)
Delta Lightning - 2nd Place

The Delta Lightning U16 Girls, coached by Jorge Corona and Mike Collins placed second in the Petaluma United Kickin Chickin tournament on Aug 8th and 9th.  The team scored quality wins over Petaluma Attack 4-0 & Rocklin Rebels 4-1. They lost a meaningless game 1-3 to Rincon Valley Avalanche.   In the championship game, the Lightning battled the Petaluma Ambush to a 2-2 tie through regulation, but eventually lost in overtime 3-2.

California Spring Cup VI Anaheim - March 14-15 2009
EC United 92 - 2nd Place

EC United posted a 2-1-1 record with a tie versus Chelsea FC (Whittier, CA) including wins over Las Vegas United, and the Long Beach Titans. EC United93 eventually took 2nd place in this tournament, after a tough loss in the Championship game to the FC Metro Mustangs from Montreal Canada. Congratulations ladies on a job well done!
 

Delta Teams Takes On Diablo Cup
 

Overall a great showing by the Delta teams in the Diablo Cup March 14-15, 2009.   Diablo FC had teams playing in each of the following groups and Delta showed we’re just as good as teams trained by full time trainer at these clubs.   The Black Pearl 90 and Delta United Gold 91 coached by Narinder Singh took 1st place in the Boys U19 and Girls U19 division respectively.  The Delta Force coached by John Simarro came in 2nd in Girls U17 beating #4 ranked Juventas Destiny 1-0 and the Delta Wolverines coached by Juan Martin made it to the semi-finals with the Boys U17 team.

In addition the Delta Force took 2nd place in the Northern California Spring Showcase with a record of 2-0-2.

E.C. United 93 - Sweet 16

The EC United 93, with a patched together team consisting of five injuries and two girls sick advanced to the Round of 16 in the CYSA State Cup tournament.  Congratulations EC United. Their next game be 4/18, which means they will get some really good rest prior to the round of 16.

E.C. United 93 - Northern California Spring Showcase

E.C. United 93 participated in the Northern California Spring Showcase hosted by the Juventus Sport Club 3/7 & 3/8/09. E.C. United posted a 2-1-1 record with 3 shutouts in a college showcase format.

2008 U10 Girls Delta Diamonds Take District IV Championship

East Bay soccer will never be the same as the Delta Diamonds U10 girls comp team won the district IV girl’s championship in dominant style. Capping off a perfect season, the Diamonds went 10—0, beating soccer powerhouses from Union City, Alameda, Piedmont and West Contra Costa. With a balanced attack, the Diamonds scored an astonishing 54 goals against their opponents on offense, while confounding their competition on defense with an even more amazing 4 goals given up all year long! Congratulations Diamonds!
 

On September 27-28 the Delta EC United took 1st place at the Hayward Fall Classic. They defeated the host Hayward squad 4-2 in the final with four 2nd half goals.

The Delta Youth Soccer League team Delta Storm girls U15 recently won the Summerfest Division 1 Championship in Walnut Creek. Winning four games, including a 6-1 win over the Napa Crushers, a 3-0 win over the Marin Football Club and tying the San Juan Spirits 1-1, the tournament concluded with a championship game competition with the Alameda/Contra Costa Mavericks, in regulation time and two overtime periods followed by a winning 5-4 penalty kick shootout.
