The Delta Youth Soccer League (DYSL) is an volunteer nonprofit organization that provides recreational and competitive soccer programs for boys and girls ages 4 to 19 years in the Antioch, Pittsburg, Bay Point and adjacent unincorporated areas.  

The purpose of the DYSL shall be to develop, promote and administer the game of soccer among youth without regard to race, religion, color, creed, sex or national origin.

The DYSL shall be affiliated and comply with the authority to the California Youth Soccer Association.

Each team is assigned a photo time. Click here for schedule. Deer Valley High School Back Field ALL teams will receive a randomly scheduled time between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. This IS the league Photo Day. Coaches should NOT be cancelling this team and individual photo appointment. Parents, there is not a reason your coach should be cancelling this photo day. Currently, there is no team photo makeup day planned. If your child cannot make this day, please do not expect the coach to cancel the team photo for the rest of the team. Teams can take their own photo with missing players during the season, but should be taking the official league photos on AUGUST 2. Jim Bonwell 7/22/08 8:33 PM Referee Classes - July 2008 Delta Youth Soccer League will host a Grade 8 entry level referee course and a Grade 9 Recreational referee course in July. Click here to go to the Course Enrollment page. Grade 9 - This is an 8 hour course taught in two four hour or one nine hour session. A Grade 9 or Recreational Youth Referee may referee ONLY U14 and younger recreational games. Grade 8 - This is an 18 hour course usually taught in six 3 hour sessions. A Grade 8 referee may referee any youth game. Of course, assignments on older matches requires actual game experience. Grade 9 Course - split into a 3 hour and 5 hr session Friday July 18 7 -10 pm Saturday July 19 8:30 -2:30 Location Kimball Elementary School 1310 August Way Grade 8 Course - 18 hours - Certified to do up to U19 comp games after demonstrating skills in younger games. It is important that you attend if you sign up. Last year all classes filled. Students must attend at least 5 of the 6 nights. The second week covers critical material. Comp Teams - the Grade 8 course is the entry level course and the one you will want to take. Current Grade 9 referees - This is a great way to upgrade your license with the full Grade 8 course. It will provide a great review of the material already covered in the Grade 9 course and cover most things in more depth. If there is enough interest we'll offer a Grade 9 bridging couse later in the year. Our District is planning a district wide Grade 9 bridging course. Keep in mind, they have never actually held one, and all Grade 9 to Grade 8 upgrades have been through a Grade 8 course. There is no cost to DYSL members for the course. Students passing will need to pay their $25 license fee on the last night. ($20 for Grade 9) The course is open to youth (age 13+) and adults. The passing rate for students under 13 has been very low in the past. Your time will come - I know you're dying to referee.
